Melissa has been studying Qi Gong and Five Elements Theory since 2020, beginning her studies with Mimi Kuo Deemer and completing trainings in Qigong for Yoga Teachers, a Five Elements Immersion a one year long Qigong Mentorship and was also part of Mimi’s Continuing Mentorship programme.
In 2025 she graduated from a 2 year Qigong Teacher Training through Qigong Tauk with Bob Lowey and is now running classes, workshops and trainings across Glasgow.
Qigong is an ancient form of exercise rooted in Chinese Medicine. The practice was developed for health and wellbeing and the movements are slow and steady but the practice builds strength, energy, develops balance and helps us to tune into nature through the seasonal approach.
With over 20 years of movement experience in dance and yoga and her love of nature, Melissa brings a unique approach to Qigong; classes are accessible for all students and they are encouraged to work at their own pace and in tune with their own bodies. Her classes are informative, engaging, and community based, enabling a relaxed and friendly atmosphere for everyone.
