About Melissa Corazon

Melissa is a Senior Yoga Teacher (Yoga Alliance UK) with 15 years experience and 8 years as a teacher trainer – leading workshops and courses in Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga and Five Elements.

This course has been developed and will be led by Melissa, who has a wealth of experience as a yin and restorative teacher and has trained extensively with some of the world’s leading teachers, including Judith Hansen Lassater and Mimi Kuo Deemer. Melissa has a degree in Psychology and has studied many movement modalities, including Yoga, Dance and Qi Gong. She loves combining mind-body practices for health and wellbeing and as a huge nature lover the Five Element Theory has become an integral part of her practice.

Here is what Melissa says about the training:

“My hope for this training is that it will give students the skills and confidence to be adaptable when teaching Yin Yoga. I’m used to teaching a very wide range of students of all ages and abilities and I think it’s so important that the practice is as accessible as possible. So after the training you will have the skills, not only to teach experienced and flexible yogis, but also beginners coming through the door for the first time. Another thing that is extremely important to me is that everyone feels welcome and comfortable and each student has the opportunity to take care and listen to their own bodies. This style of practice has been such a huge part of my life for more than a decade and I’m thrilled to be able to share the skills and knowledge I have learned with other teachers ”
